Our internal review of 98 target Amazon US listings and 13,605 customer reviews identified medium and large dogs as one of the clearest use groups. Support-oriented foam beds were a major demand direction, while thickness loss, cleaning failure, durability and inaccurate sizing repeatedly appeared in low-star feedback. Start with furniture-grade construction

A responsible development brief defines finished dimensions, usable sleeping area, target dog weight, foam construction, cover and liner requirements, packed dimensions and recovery standard. Samples should then be checked for static load, repeated compression, seam and zipper performance, wash stability and post-pack recovery. Performance terms such as “orthopedic” or “waterproof” should follow test results rather than replace them.
